Support Groups

The Circle of Friends support group sessions allow women the freedom to discuss the disease in a caring, judgment-free environment with women just like themselves.

Our meetings are informative, uplifting and inspiring.  Bring a friend or loved one!

For your convenience, we have meetings in the GTA.

  • The Toronto support group is held every 3rd Saturday of each month.

  • The Peel Region support group is held every 2nd last Saturday of each month.

Educational Seminars

Educational seminars on health and nutrition are conducted quarterly.  We work with the various cancer centres to ensure that the women are provided with quality information by professionals in a safe setting.  They are encouraged to bring their questions and concerns where they can be addressed in laymen’s terms for easy understanding.

We also host an annual Think Beyond “Love Pink” symposium open to all community members.  Speakers are solicited from Health Care facilities or local hospitals on various topics related to women’s health not just cancer.

Faith Based Support

Every year The Olive Branch of Hope welcomes the opportunity to share information and resources at various women’s  faith groups.  It is always interesting to share in these settings to learn how these women deal will their illnesses.  This is an area that is often neglected either because many organization do not include them or the group leaders  may be reluctant to allow cancer organizations to come in.
